Work is currently underway to anchor Mousetrapper’s sustainability work internally in the organization. We believe that this is one of the most critical issues for us to achieve our sustainability goals in the long term. Then it is crucial that everyone gets involved and updated about what is happening.
It is both about the issue of sustainability in general; what does it, for example, mean that Sweden has signed the Paris Agreement? I.e., Sweden must ensure that global warming does not exceed 2 °, preferably below 1.5 ° in comparison with the time before the Industrial Revolution? Sweden has a net-zero target already in 2045. In concrete terms, this means that Sweden needs to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by about 6-7% per year. And if we are to contribute to that work, we should be able to do the same. It is a tough goal to reach.
We have had many interesting discussions during our internal education, where the dialogue has been very open. There is a great deal of knowledge in the organization, and it shows. This work is now deepening so that it is anchored with all employees.
When we have talked about what is required in the climate field and the public climate goals in line with science, we realize that there are no simple solutions.
Some obvious things give quick gains, but to achieve the goals for 2045 requires purposeful work. It is not a quick fix, but constant work – or as someone said, you eat an elephant one piece at a time.
