The better you understand, the greater commitment.

In the last blog post, we wrote that the focus for Mousetrapper’s sustainability work over the past year has been the climate. Another important question has been: How do we get our employees to participate in the journey? To succeed in the long-term, it is vital that everyone walks in the same direction and understands why and how Mousetrapper can contribute to a long-term sustainable society.
The sustainability strategy is the hub of the work, but the heart of the work lies with the employees. They must strive for and feel that even though we are a company that produces advanced technical products, we can actually contribute and make a difference.

Not easy, but necessary

It is easy to say that it is impossible, and avoid trying and keep on doing what we’ve always been doing for as long as possible. But Mousetrapper also wants to be a long-term company, a company that may have to redefine what it is and does several times in the future, but which constantly wants to be a company developing in balance with the environment. And the only way to succeed is to have everyone who works here passionate about the same thing.
Therefore, we see education and knowledge sharing about sustainability as central to engaging our employees. We believe that knowledge, understanding, and forward-thinking are the most essential parts of achieving our long-term goals. It is not easy but necessary.
